What is "das fernweh?"
"Das fernweh" has no direct English translation, but is basically the opposite of homesickness. It's similar to wanderlust, meaning a desire to travel, or longing for far-off places.  For many, fernweh is when you leave your home and discover new places. At its core, it's wanting to discover different cultures and lifestyles. As a college sophomore and world traveller, I couldn't think of anything better to name my blog.

"Who are you?"
My name is Caroline and my Twitter bio claims that "I'm that girl who loves scrunchies and Dr. Martens." I'm nineteen and currently living in London for the year where I'm studying journalism at Pepperdine University. When I'm not in school you can using find me eating tacos, listening to records, finding new music, reading a book, blogging, or doodling. There's nothing more to it. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
